Each contestant
will perform
a talent
presentation.
This presentation
can be
less than
but not
exceed
2 minutes
and 45
seconds
in length.
If a contestant's
presentation
exceeds
the required
time limit
points
will be
deducted
from her
composite
talent
score before
weighting
at a rate
of 1 point
per second
over the
allotted
time.
Judges are asked to look for talent presentations that reflect good taste and exemplify the "Age of Elegance". Talent presentations should not be offensive to any age or demographic group. The stage
at The
Sundome
is very
large.
Judges
will be
seated
very close
to front
of the
stage next
to the
ramp. Contestants
need to
be aware
of the
need to
use the
stage well,
both for
the audience
and for
the judges.
Since we
are limited
to rehearsing
at the
Sundome
only on
the day
of the
actual
event contestants
will have
assistance
in blocking
their presentations
on the
Sundome
stage that
morning.
Music
must be
provided
as first
generation
high quality
recordings.
Always
have a
copy of
your music
with you.
Scripting
and memorization
are the
key staying
on time
if speaking
or acting.
Clothing
or costumes
should
compliment
the talent
that is
being displayed.
Props
(if used)
should
be simple
and easy
to get
on and
off stage
quickly.
Style
and presentation
should
be a true
reflection
of your
personality.
Practice,
Practice,
Practice!
